London, United Kingdom

Emilie Giles of Codasign and Tessa Whitehouse of Queen Mary University of London were awarded a Creativeworks London Creative Voucher in round 7: Joining the Dots for ‘Making Friends’, a project that asks how children make friends, and investigates the role of technology in those processes.

At the Making Friends Forum, Emilie and Tessa will present the outcomes from their first workshop with children at Stoke Newington School as a starting point for new discussions about what friendship means from the perspective of education, curation, research, and strategy.

Participants working in the areas of creative technologies, arts education, heritage, advocacy, design, and research are invited to share their expertise and experiences. The goal is to develop new conversations about participatory work in museums, galleries, schools, and universities and to incubate future collaborations.

Places are strictly limited: please write to Tessa at by Friday 16 January 2015 if you’d like to join us.
