Intellectual Property: Lifeblood of creative and digital businesses

March 4, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Fusion project is a dynamic partnership of leading Higher Education Institutions aiming to inspire and support London’s creative and digital (CDIT) small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow.

Last in the series, this exciting 2-day programme is designed and facilitated to bring together creative and digital businesses, and raise awareness on the importance of IP.

Intellectual Property: Lifeblood of creative & digital businesses—Inngot Ltd
IP isn’t just for patents, inventors and scientists. Nor is it all about copying. Every time you create something – a design, a composition, a software program, an app, in fact anything you express for the first time – you’re creating IP. This means you have legal rights that you can choose to exercise in different ways (and some responsibilities, too). By covering all aspects of IP, and relating them to digital and creative businesses, you’ll get the know-how you need to tackle questions like the following:

  • What can I do when people copy my work?
  • When I collaborate with other individuals and companies, who owns the IP?
  • How can I make money from licensing my IP (or licensing other people’s)?

There will be ample opportunities to ask questions about your specific IP issues/concerns during the workshop and to discuss these with experts and peers.
