Why waste a beautiful flower by just smelling it? We say: EAT IT!

For one day only Nunhead is host to the Edible Flower Garden & Apothecary Bar, where you can taste everything from naturally growing chocolate mint leaves to cocktails made from Jasmine and Honeysuckle!

2pm-8pm: Garden Tours
We’ll be running interactive tours of our Edible Flower Garden from 2-8pm where performers will guide you in and amongst the plants to pick petals right from the flowers to taste them. We promise you’ll look at flowers in a whole new way – and will experience new flavours to satisfy even the most adventurous culinary appetite!

Spaces are limited – book in advance to avoid disappointment!

£10 / £6 concs (includes free cocktail/drink)
Book tickets here.

1pm-1:45pm: Floral Cuisine Workshop
Learn how to add a splash of natural colour to simple home recipes with the inclusion of edible flowers, led by an expert in edible flower food creations – Sushma Windsor of Lettuce Flowers. Limited tickets available.

1pm-11pm: Apothecary Bar

Come and enjoy a cocktail al fresco in our pop-up garden, and watch as the bartender creates colourful, tasty drinks with herbs and petals grown right out of our planters – drinking mojitos never tasted so fresh! Perfect to enjoy on a mid-summer evening.

No need to book – just show up!

These events are delivered as part of our ‘Adventures in Nunhead’ programme running throughout August-Sept 2014, funded through the High Street Challenge fund from Southwark Council.

Lydia Fraser-Ward, Fantasy High Street was awarded a Creativeworks London Creative Entrepreneur In Residence award during the first round.
