The Internet of Things. Everyone’s talking about it; a network of physical objects embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity, becomes part of a bigger service exchanging data with operators and other connected devices.

It’s shaping our cities and lives in every way, growing and evolving at a rapid pace across a variety of sectors, from digital and creative to retail, leisure, lifestyle and art.

  • But what are the opportunities for growth going forward?
  • What has led to recent trends and developments in this space?
  • What does it mean for your business?
  • How can you engage with this concept?
  • What expertise and contacts are required to support your latest ideas?

At this event we will be bringing together the people at the forefront of innovation around IoT. We will be looking at recent trends and developments within this space, challenge areas and opportunities opening up within the future – the distance and not so far away. This is a practical event, offering knowledge and experience of creating and implementing innovative ideas from the experts in this theme.

Who should attend

If you are working in the digital and creative sector; developing products, software or services, and are interested in learning about how you can engage with this concept.

The Digital Catapult is one of 15 EuroCPS members working on a pan-European project to help innovative companies design and build new Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) products for the Internet of Things market.  We’ll have representatives from this initiative at this event who will be able to tell you all about the project and how you can get involved.  The next open call to SME’s will be on 28th October 2015, so this is a great opportunity to find out more about the project and why you might want to apply.
