Curious? Powered by the Knowledge Quarter

King's Cross, London, United Kingdom

The Knowledge Quarter will host its first festival, Curious?, in partnership with King’s Cross, on 29 – 30 August 2015.

Curious? will bring together Knowledge Quarter members such as The Guardian, The Foundling Museum, UCL, The Francis Crick Institute, Poet in the City and the British Library to present a series of performances, debates, workshops, experiments and lessons. Located across King’s Cross, N1C, activities will be presented within a variety of named zones each set-up with a different focus.

“The area around King’s Cross, St Pancras, Euston and Bloomsbury is home to the most valuable commodity of the 21st century – knowledge. Just as the great Victorian railway engineers built a revolutionary transport hub for people and goods in this part of London, so the Knowledge Quarter is rapidly becoming a world-class interchange for creative ideas, research and innovation.

“Curious? will bring together visitors from the local community and across London to experience the resources, expertise and knowledge of these great institutions over one weekend and we are delighted to work alongside King’s Cross to deliver London’s first festival of knowledge,” said Roly Keating, Chairman of the Knowledge Quarter Board.

Maps will be on offer allowing visitors to navigate their way around the festival. All workshops and performances will be free, and activities will be on offer for all ages. The best of London’s street food and drink will be on offer and picnic areas will be dotted throughout the festival area.

Curious? will run from the morning of Saturday 29, until Sunday 30 August 2015. A full programme of events and partners involved will be announced in the coming weeks. Click here for more details.
