An understanding of intellectual property and its protection is vital for anyone with an idea, whether it’s an invention, a brand name or a song.

This session will introduce the four areas of intellectual property and help you understand which may apply to you and your business:

  • Patents
  • Trade marks
  • Registered designs
  • Copyright

There will be an opportunity to ask questions of our expert staff.

What our users say

”I cannot overly stress the importance of getting early impartial intellectual property advice on your invention idea, as it can be the key to its success – whether you intend to bring the invention to market yourself, license it or sell it outright (or a mixture of these)”
– Mark Sheahan, Inventor in Residence, British Library

“Clear presentation and chance to ask questions”
– Momtaz Begum-Hossain

“Interactivity of the workshop makes it interesting and informative”
– Haakon Pedersen
