We look at various factors including the challenges of using archive footage to make programmes, the danger to our regional archives, we ask if 21st century footage is in danger of being lost forever, we explore rights, access and copyright issues and we will also hold a ‘Digital Future’ panel asking the question ‘Is there a need for a National Strategy’ where we address the single most important issue facing the audiovisual world today, how we save the endangered Archived digital heritage of the world before it is too late.
Our event will contain screenings, site visits with transport, panel discussions, fantastic networking lunches, presentations and talks, a conference banquet, a chance to hear about the 2016 plans for saving our digital heritage, a conference pack with a DVD and a variety of other materials and much more……
