The Royal College of Art is honoured to be one of the partners for London Fusion, a new programme of interactive, tailored and in-depth support designed to help London’s creative and digital companies collaborate, innovate and grow.
Three RCA alumni, each at a different stage of the creative and professional journey, will share insights and stories: how they have managed to harness creativity and move towards commercial success; the application of ‘design thinking’ and the important role business knowledge plays in transforming a great idea into genuine social and economic impact.
Prof Jeremy Myerson, Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre at the RCA will be introducing the following speakers:
- Peter Ziegler, a Research Associate with the Helen Hamlyn Centre, who proposes new social media paradigms using an inclusive, people-centred approach to innovation;
- Ground-breaking product designer turned entrepreneur, Roland Lamb, who’s company ROLI has been through the InnovationRCA incubation programme and recently won the SXSW Music Accelerator Competition.
- Gus Desberats, Founder/Chairman of TheAlloy and visiting tutor on the RCA’s service design programme. A leading thinker in the field of connected service system design, Gus advises a number of organisations on strategies for the application of Experience Led Design methods to innovation.
This is also the perfect opportunity for you to get to know more about the London Fusion programme and how getting involved could benefit you and your business, as well as meet and share your own stories with other RCA alumni and like-minded creative and digital professionals.
