Business Funding Show (2nd & 3rd February 2016)

The Business Funding Show (BFS) is the first and only exhibition exclusively focused on business funding and growth support, taking place on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2016 in iconic Old Billingsgate, London. The show will bring together two key groups in the UK economy – entrepreneurs looking for funding and leading finance and service providers. The event will host market-leaders representing their services within three exhibiting zones: Lending, Investment, and Growth Support. All attendees to the event will have ample opportunity to liaise with representatives of various leading financial institutions to discuss their funding options and growth pathways.

Celebrated entrepreneurs and investors such as Richard Reed (Innocent), Charlie Mullins (Pimlico Plumbers), and Lord Bilimoria (Cobra Beer) will be present to offer guidance to businesses seeking direction. Other notable speakers include Bill Morrow (Angels Den), Jenny Tooth (UK Business Angels), Mark Wright (The Apprentice winner 2014), David Buttress (JustEat), Chelsey Baker (Broadcasting Your Business), Michael Wilkinson (Crowdcube), Mark Williams (Ratesetter), Matt Adey (British Business Bank), and many more.

The companies that you’ll be able to meet at the show include: NatWest, PayPal Working Capital, Angels Den, Crowdcube, Bibby Financial Services, ACCREDO, Link Capital, Experian, Ratesetter, UK Business Angels Network, Science and Technology Facilities Council, ESA Business Incubation Centre, EEN, as well as IPO, Rockstar Group, British Business Bank and other non-financial service-providers.

Within the Mentoring Clinic one-to-one support with financial, business and legal issues will be provided alongside a range of workshops and training sessions, to help business owners explore the available options and become more attractive to funders. Furthermore, in the aims of highlighting the importance of the ‘Perfect Pitch’ and cultivate a healthy competitive spirit BFS invites Six of the strongest businesses selected of those who apply for funding at Live Investment Challenge run by Angels Den.

The show will also host an Interactive Zone and Networking Zone to give exhibitors and guests the opportunity to engage with the experiential side of BFS through purposeful engagement and tech and media driven socialising.

SMEs represent the backbone of the UK economy yet, according to BIS’ Small Business Survey 2015, only 15% of SMEs are familiar with multiple finance sources and specific providers. This highlights an alarming lack of engagement from the SME sector when it comes to securing the best finance options to grow their businesses.

BFS aims to solve this problem and together with our visiting SME owners and prominent exhibitors, we will Shape The Future of Funding.
