Arts Council England: No Boundaries 2015 Conference

The first wave of speakers has been announced for No Boundaries 2015. Taking place in September, the two-day arts and culture conference is a highlight of Arts Council England thought leadership programme, State of the Arts

About the conference

No Boundaries provides a new model for generating discussion amongst arts and culture’s leaders and innovators to help find positive approaches to influence change and support growth in sector. Organisers are encouraging delegates to submit ideas for debate before the conference, to self organise discussions during the conference alongside the formal programme, and to feed ideas back into the conference as it takes place.

Speakers announced so far

Offering a truly global perspective on the questions and ideas on the role of arts and culture, the first wave of speakers are:

– Vasif Korton, Turkish Curator and Director of Programmes at Salt, Istanbul,
– Basma El Husseiny, of Action for Hope, Cairo, Egypt
– Natalia Kaliada, founding Co-Artistic Director of the Belarus Free Theatre
– Alice Webb, Director, BBC Children’s
– Sam Colt, Head of Arts, Culture and Heritage Odgers Berndtson,
– Mary Lou Aleskie, Executive Director, International Festival of Ideas, New Haven, USA,
– David Sproxton, Executive Chairman and co-founder of Aardman Animations
– Jo Verrent, Senior Producer, Unlimited
– Nick Cohen, writer and political commentator

Sam Colt, Head of Arts, Culture and Heritage, Odgers Berndtson says,

“I am delighted to have been invited to speak at No Boundaries this year. Our arts and cultural sector is one of our greatest assets and No Boundaries provides the perfect platform to look at the challenges and opportunities on the horizon and address them in new and exciting ways.”
