AHRC: Cultural Value Project mid-term report publishedThe Cultural Value Project – a research initiative set up by the Arts and Humanities Research Council in the autumn of 2012 with the aim of investigating the value that the arts and culture bring to individuals and to society – has crossed its midpoint. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you a short mid-term report reiterating the Project’s ambitions and aims and outlining the up-to-date developments and challenges still lying ahead of the Project Team. The key points of the mid-term report are: – The Cultural Value Project is supporting nearly 70 academically-led, individual projects with an impressive range and breadth of interests; – The challenge of embedding all of the rich and diverse research underpinning the Cultural Value Project, together with the existing evidence and research, will be undertaken in the Final Report which will be published in the last quarter of 2015; – The climate of the debate and the character of the conversations we are having about cultural value are changing and the Cultural Value Project, among a number of other initiatives and programmes, seems to be playing a significant and unique role in that process of change. |
