The idea was to create an experience for the user, which is like an online version of the experience of attending a Heart n Soul event – such as the Beautiful Octopus Club held at the Royal Festival Hall. The aim was to surprise, disarm and charm people into the world of Heart n Soul, rather than making them feel guilty, pity, ashamed or sad for the people with learning disabilities whose talents, capabilities and life affirming aesthetics they try to shine a light on and share more widely. Fantasy High Street offered 100 people the chance to have an enhanced festival experience by following a trail of clues to festival events and participating high street shops. Festival-goers who wore trail wristband were able to navigate their way around the festival and local area by triggering clues from wristband readers (tablets) using hidden RFID sensors within the wristbands.
